March 17, 2020 - Unk Note - Day 127
Week 18!
Just since my last note of March 5th, our world has literally changed dramatically.
Covid-19 (or Coronavirus) has spread around the globe. Thousands and thousands afflicted, and hundreds and hundreds have died. This puts my recovery efforts in a subdued picture of "minimal". Everyone is asked to self-quarantine and stay at least 6 feet away from the next person. I have basically been in self-quarantine since I came home from rehab on December 3 of last year. I certainly have no problem staying at home and minimizing my travel to only appointments, rehab, and groceries. Not so easy for people who are on the go all of the time. I know some who are already stir-crazy.
Rodney and I are in agreement that he should curtail his trips down here for the time being. Just too risky.
Today is week 18 since my trip and fall.
Day 1 of outpatient rehabilitation at a nearby facility called XL. It's less than a mile from home. I survived the initial evaluation and exercise routine. I particularly liked the ten minutes of electrical stimulation of my leg from knee to hip. It felt so good! Of course I can barely move now. My "schedule" calls for 3 days a week until the end of April. I know what I want to achieve, but I have no real expectations. I only want to get on with the recovery.
